Epoxy Floors Toowoomba
Describe the floor you want coated and your enquiry goes to one local provider, who looks at it and quotes in writing. Before anyone grinds or coats a floor in Toowoomba, ask three things: which Queensland Building and Construction Commission class the contractor works under, what will be done about cracks in the slab, and where the dust and slurry will go. The Commission has a class whose scope names epoxy and seamless floor coverings, so the first question has a direct answer to ask for.
Thanks — we have your enquiry. Someone will be in touch shortly. Prefer to talk now? Call (07) 3523 1792.
- Each enquiry goes to one independent provider for Toowoomba, not to a list of firms that all ring you.
- We do not coat floors. The provider looks at the floor, then names the price.
- Every call opens with a notice that it may be recorded.

Before you get a quote
Four things to ask first
- Ask which class the contractor works under The Queensland Building and Construction Commission has a Floor finishing and covering (hard sector) class whose scope names epoxy and seamless floor coverings. Ask which class the contractor is in.
- Most Queensland homes sit on clay that moves The Commission says clay soils dry out rapidly in dry seasons and become wet quickly in wet seasons. It treats concrete floor cracks under 2 mm as acceptable and over 2 mm as not.
- An old floor can hide asbestos The Queensland Government's asbestos site lists asbestos backed vinyl sheet flooring and vinyl floor tiles among the common locations in a house built in the 1970s.
- Slurry has a place it may not go Queensland lists cement, concrete and plaster as water contaminants, and Toowoomba Regional Council says only rainwater should enter its stormwater system.
Three steps
From enquiry to quote
- Tell us about the floor What it is (garage, shed, workshop or house), what shape it is in and what is on it now.
- It is passed on Your enquiry goes to one independent local provider covering Toowoomba. The provider pays for the introduction; you never do.
- A provider looks and quotes The provider looks at the floor and prices the work in writing. The price is theirs to set.
Epoxy Floors across the Toowoomba Regional Council area
The Queensland Government calls the soils of the Darling Downs cracking clays and lists Toowoomba in its Darling Downs South West region, so the cracked slabs page starts with what the Commission says about cracks. Two places in the council area also have a recorded flood history in the Queensland Floods Commission of Inquiry's report on January 2011, and the suburb pages for Toowoomba City and Oakey each turn one fact from it into a question to put to whoever quotes.

Tell us what the floor is (a garage, shed, workshop or house floor), what shape it is in and what is on it now. The enquiry goes to an independent qualified local provider, who looks at the floor and quotes in writing. The price is the provider's to set, not ours. Before a quote arrives, the Toowoomba epoxy floor costs and rules check lists the Queensland lines that can apply to a floor job in Toowoomba, each with its source.
